PS. I was posting an option for people not willing to wait for JBSPEED. I'm sure Autoteknic can offer a price match.
My car is not an M and I'm not trying to convince anyone that it is, I would not have bought these if they had an M2 logo in the corner like most of the dual slats that M cars have. No one can deny that BMW goes all out on the M designs, and yet BMW doesn't keep the design exclusive for their M cars anymore. Thats why they make the M-Sport line, because it looks damn good and people shouldn't have to buy an overpowered car in order to have a good looking car. Does that mean that everyone with the M-sport package or even worse an M235 is trying to pose as a true M? No, it just means that for some people, aesthetics are really important and details must be taken care of in the most congruent of ways. So go right on ahead and enjoy your single slats, and we'll enjoy our double slats! But don't say that there is no distinction between them because that is an awfully oblivious thing to say and there would not be this thread if people didn't think these made our cars look sexier and JBSPEED or Autoteknic wouldn't be selling them either.

I didn't state there are no distinction. Obviously, there is. i said there's no DRASTIC difference (to me). I'm keeping mine not because of your so-called statement of retaining 'performance', it is just not worth it for me. Might be really worth it for you or anyone else that likes it. Just because someone doesn't switch to your double slat, it does not mean that person doesn't have two eyes to see the difference.

To be honest I think both performance and the dual slat are amazing looking. I wouldn't doubt it after having the dual slats on for a few months that Id switch back to the performance grills.

After a very long wait mine arrived and due to my schedule I will not be able to install till this weekend. They were very very well packaged and protected. The quality and finish looks very good minus a couple of paint imperfections and some link in the paint. I would not have figured they were actually painted....are the M performance grills molded out of gloss plastic and not painted?
Anyways I think they are pretty good value for the money except for the so called EMS Speedpost "International Express Mail Service"....like right, super express 16day shipping.

I will post install pics this weekend

Guys....Let's keep this thread positive

I was planning on getting the "M" performance gloss grills sooner or later and since these were released I thought it would be a nice little variance from the norm. I don't need it to be anymore of a "M" than it already is....

They look awesome with your cars color. But you know it wouldnt have been as difficult if you would have taken out the other grille once the first one comes out, right? I know your side-by-side shot is nice but it came at the expense of some extra work.

I just posted a thread with a few of my "minor" cosmetic mods for my EBII M235i, which includes the JBSPEED Gloss Black Dual Slat Grilles. Check it out!

Not really sure what "whats the go" means. But for your second question, judging by the fact that every M model (M3, M4, M5, M6, X5M, and X6M) all have dual slats...I think it's safe to say that the M2 will follow suit.
