Check the exhaust flap if you have one, they are known to rattle sometimes or check for a heat shield that might be vibrating on the exhaust somewhere.

Thank you for your response. I had the flap removed when I had the car straight piped so it's definitely not that… hopefully something heat shield related. It doesn't really sound like wastegate rattle to you right?

Another one to check is the clip holding the handbrake cables in place above the drive shaft, allowing a cable to touch the driveshaft if the clip breaks.

Thank you for your response.

This may be a silly question… but does the drive shaft spin while the car is in park? Because the noise is still present while stationary.

The driveshaft doesn’t spin, but the handbrake cable sheathing can still vibrate against it or other components in the transmission tunnel.

This is a metal aftermarket replacement clip that is supposed to prevent the issue from occurring again: https://agatools.com/products/brake-...b0ae1e8f&_ss=r.

I copied the link off this forum, but I don't have any experience with the clip.

I’ve not heard or had wastegate rattle noises, so can’t help you there…Sorry!

Thank you all for your input. I believe I have isolated the issue to the rear passenger side exhaust tip as the noise stops whenever I place my finger on it. I'll have a definitive answer by tonight, but I'm almost positive this is what is causing the issue.
