Dinan Intake Used Price?

Hey guys when I had bought my F23 the previous owner put a Dinan intake but I want to put in the MST intake or the VR Performance. However I wouldn't need the Dinan intake of course after installing the "new" one so I wanted to ask what do you guys think I can sell the Dinan intake for?

Whether the part is used or new, my rule of thumb is that I'll pay in the range of 40-60% of retail and split the cost of shipping.

Not that you were asking but I had an MST intake on my F22 for a few months. The only cool thing it did was make my car louder, but it produced hotter intake air temps than stock. I went back to the stock air box to get cooler intake temps.

Open intakes will make more noise - however closed intakes like stock or Dinan are better for cooler air intake / lower intake temps

Just remember that intakes do nothing as far as increasing performance. BMW does a good job designing intakes. The only advantage of other intakes can be increased intake noise.

I haven't noticed an increase in noise from the Dinan CAI I had installed. Maybe its design is different from some of the others; e.g., closed vs. open? My hearing's not the best, so that would certainly affect my ability to hear more sound coming from the engine bay.

Even though I didn't do before and after dyno runs to get the numbers, I did take Dinan's increased performance claims at face value: https://www.dinancars.com/products/i...arts/D760-0046.

The numbers are so close that is hard to tell if the Dinan intake did anything. Add a Dinan tune and yes you get a boost.

Dinan failed to mention the tune being required.

However, in the link they did say "More Power: + 15 HP @ 6000 RPM & + 13 lb-ft @ 6000 RPM (+ 13 WHP & + 11 WTQ) without additional modifications".
