cruise control failure warning

Popped up a few days ago and the error message keeps chiming on every few minutes.

Funny thing is, cruise control works. Also, I dont care if it doesn't.

Is there any way I can turn this off? Disconnect battery?

Or is it symptomatic of something scarier. Car is totally cool. No prior electrical issues. All stock.

You need to scan the car's computers to properly determine the case. I use bimmerlink.

This 3-series thread sounds like a similar issue, the components should be the same: https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1306098

Can i clear errors with that app if I buy it and the associated hardware?

Or, does it just diagnose?
