H&R Springs on M235i

Just got a set of H&R Sport springs for my M235i. Drop is expected to be one inch all around.

For anyone who has installed, did you have any issues with the ride height sensors? Does lowering the car create a code/light in the system?

Also, from what Ive heard, it is not a problem to put the springs in if the car has adaptive suspension. Thoughts ?

Appreciate the help.

I don’t know about ride height sensors (but I guess I’ll find out when I get my Swift Spec-R springs and MP Bumpstops installed next week).

I don’t think you’ll have any issues with the adaptive dampers. BMW makes an M Performance suspension package that doesn’t change out the adaptive dampers so they’re probably up to the task.

You may want to consider the M Performance front (and also rear if you’re pre-LCI) bumpstops. They’re shorter and firmer. Should make the car more predictable at full compression, which you may hit more often with shorter springs.

LCI 230/240i: P/N 31336859768

Dinan makes a bumpstop kit also but I’m not sure what P/N’s they correspond to.

No issues with sensors.
Although my car did settle a little lower than an inch on all four corners.

Appreciate the response. How much did all four bump stops run you? Considering getting them myself if they are compatible with the H&R Springs

I only needed the fronts because the THP-equipped 230i has a different requirement for the rears. I’ll check the cost when I get home from work and we can work out a price for the rears if you’re interested.
