2012 Caterham R400D - will never sell this car, my son gets it when I can’t drive anymore, the only car I’ve ever owned that isn’t a year round daily driver.
2016 VW Golf R (MkVII) - my wife’s current daily driver.
2017 BMW M240i (F22) - my current daily driver, doesn’t matter how much snow we have.

My top five list in order of preference is Caterham R400D, Fiat X1/9, BMW Z4M, BMW M240i, Austin Healey Sprite.

My bottom five in order of dislike is Chrysler Laser, Subaru XV Crosstrek, Chevy Chevette, Jeep Cherokee, Nissan Pathfinder (Mk2).

I think we keep cars a reasonable period of time, my wife used to say we don’t keep them long enough, until my son had his 40th car last year at the age of 27. A few years ago he got a letter from the provincial government telling him he needed to get a dealer licence if he sold another car that year, as he had sold 8 in the first 9 months of the year. Not a case of buying and selling them to make money, just that he was bored with the vehicle he had. He has settled down though, only 4 personal vehicles last year, from what I can recall.

GTI thought me what the driving fun was. TL was a big mistake. (good car but not for my taste) Loving M240. Best car ever owned.

My top five list in order of preference is Caterham R400D, Fiat X1/9, BMW Z4M, BMW M240i, Austin Healey Sprite. My bottom five in order of dislike is Chrysler Laser, Subaru XV Crosstrek, Chevy Chevette, Jeep Cherokee, Nissan Pathfinder (Mk2). I think we keep cars a reasonable period of time, my wife used to say we don’t keep them long enough, until my son had his 40th car last year at the age of 27. A few years ago he got a letter from the provincial government telling him he needed to get a dealer licence if he sold another car that year, as he had sold 8 in the first 9 months of the year. Not a case of buying and selling them to make money, just that he was bored with the vehicle he had. He has settled down though, only 4 personal vehicles last year, from what I can recall.
