Here's my Walther P22 with a suppressor. It's stupid quiet! I like taking it camping for target practice because it's so quiet it wouldn't bother anyone else who may be camping in the area and I don't need to bring ear pro. I can only imagine other small calibers like .25 and .32 are very similar.

Fuuuck, I want a suppressor so badly. I'm in LE and can't even have an AR-15 unless I'm using it for work. No taking it to the range for target practice unless it's put on by work. I just picked up a glock 45 for duty carry and a 1911 operator MC for funzies.

Buy the gun you want to carry and work your clothes around it, not a tiny gun you dont want in the first place.

When I was carrying concealed for work I never went for a smaller frame pistol as I didn't shoot it well. I carried my Glock 22 duty pistol. I could carry it fairly well concealed but that was my personal preference. Shoot some different size guns and pick what you can shoot. No point in carrying something you can't shoot. Just my two cents.

Don't tell my FNX-45 Tactical that. Double stack AND .45!

Why would you ask a person who just started to do conceal and carry? You need the experienced people to explain the good and the bad.

One big thing I would say is shoot the gun with the ammo you plan to use through it. People shoot ball round which is cheap.. and save the expensive stuff for carry. You really need to know if your firearm is reliable with the ammo you shoot! It is expensive but long run it can save your life.

You also may need different guns for carry.. When wearing shorts, I use to carry a 380. Now I appendix carry a S&W shield or MP9C. Just picked up a P365 to try out. Be sure to buy quality holsters.. Not the Uncle Mike crap holsters. I like kydex but some people like leather..

I tend to like OWB holsters if I can conceal them with a untucked shirt or jacket.

Practice practice practice your draw with your gun unloaded. Need to be smooth at it and create muscle memory. This is great because you don't need to be at a range to practice.

Hope this helps.. There's so much more to learn. I'd take a class on it if I were you.. It is fun and educational.

Baby Glock used to mean G26, what are you getting?

Obviously you need a good holster, for IWB I have not found anything better or as good as a crossbreed, they need to be broken in a bit, but they are the best, I have tried many, including alien gear, there is no comparison.

One thing that is often overlooked, a good GUN belt, it makes all the difference in the world. I have 2 crossbreed belts, but others make fine gun belts.

If carrying iwb, inspect and clean your gun often, I had an m&p shield that i carried appendix for a while, the mag release rusted solid very quickly.

The first few times you go out concealed, you will think that everyone can see your gun, it’s weird, but you’ll get used to it.

You should always carry a back up mag, more for malfunctions then ammo.

Carry what you shoot. I used to carry glocks, but I learned that I don’t enjoy shooting them, now I shoot and carry 1911s, and a Kahr pm9 on occasion.

My wife at the range yesterday with her new Revolver......it was an early birthday present. I am surprised at how much she enjoys shooting it over a semi auto. And she's really accurate.

Regarding why I would ask someone who just started, because they would be able to tell me more of the "I wish someone told me"

Gotcha.. But really the experienced people went through it too.. And felt the pain in the wallet to try different things.

Also note that just because it works for me it might not work for you based on clothes you choose and your body structure.

Yep, Glock 26. I was looking at the single stack one because it was slightly smaller it looked like in comparison, but I figured if I get the standard stack I can use bigger mags for G17 and G19s.

it is nice to have all the larger mags available, and you can get ‘grip extensions’ for use with a g19 mag

the G26 is one of the few glocks that i still like

take some classes, get some training, it is a lot of fun

happy shooting!

Wow. Keanu showing some skills... probably better than his acting

...that being said, I've liked most of his movies. Even Point Break, as cheesy and terrible as it is, I still like it.

So I have a Glock holster, it's made of plastic and it's really super low profile. I carried a full frame Glock 22 in it, and with the right belt it was a pretty comfortable set up, easy to draw although no safety features . I don't know if this helps, but the Glock holster is pretty cheap and might be a good starting point for you.

Having owned both, whats diff from 26 to 29?

G19 is the Goldilocks size for carry. Carried a shield before. Took some force on force classes. Wanted to carry more rounds. M&P full size was too big, glock 19 worked and has 15 rounds.
