New member: Just picked up this beaut.
Hi guys. I’m new to this forum but a long time bmw driver and am active on other bmw forums for my other vehicle (g01 x3). I’ve had some awesome cars in the past including a few m cars but I can’t begin to describe how giddy I am about the 2 series. I wanted one when they were launched in 2015 but decided to go with a 4 series convertible instead. That is a nice car but the 2 series reminds me so much of my 99 3 series convertible. It’s such an agile and fun car to drive and with the 2 series convertible ending production in its next gen, it was the right time. I was completely sold on the 2 series when I did the bmw performance driving school in Greer. The grip and power was so wonderfully balanced at the track.
I really wanted the 240i convertible but just couldn’t make the numbers work out so I found this 1 year old 230i xdrive Msport with 1500 miles and got an amazing deal. I’m very much so a tinkerer and have ordered quite a few items to get the look I want. So thank you all for the information you have provided and I hope to add to an already positive car experience. Here are a few pics in its virginal form. I’ve already had the windows tinted, added stainless pedals and will be changing the side markers, black grills, carbon fiber m mirror caps, stubby antennae and a few other things. |

Welcome and congrats, bmtespar. You got yourself a stunningly beautiful car. Theres a good reason it reminds of your '99 3 Series. My first BMW was a '97 328is and I can say, unequivocally, the 2 Series is the closest you can get to replicating the "true BMW experience" of yesteryear. Every 2er is different, up to and including the M2 competition, but each has a great personality of its own. Hope you get a lot of great miles and pleasure with the nice weather coming!

I am biased but honestly is this not one of the most well proportioned best looking car in the BMW range
I have a mineral white m240i and honestly it evokes the same feelings in me as the original Mk1 Golf GTi. Something pure and focused about it, authentic and representing the best of BMW heritage |
