Bimmercode, ODBII, and factory/extended warranty
Does changing anything with Bimmercode void the warranty?
Such as radio off with ignition, doors lock with engine off. I just want to personalize a few things, not change any engine codes or "tune". I have about 11 months of the factory warranty and two more years of Premium after that. Best not to mess with it? I've already plugged in the ODBII scanner in a non-registered copy of Bimmer code and looked around. I'm assuming that didn't save anything into ROM ?? Or would the Radio/Nav warranty be voided only if those codes were adjusted? Car is stock and will remain so. (My goodness, how fast do you really want to go anyway!!) |

Mess away!
A little tasteful coding with BimmerCode will not void any warranties, especially if you stay in the Non-advanced mode. Changes can be reversed relatively easily if the need arises. The correct answer to your last question though, in my humble opinion, is; "As fast as freakin possible!" Happy Motoring!
