Winter tire set up
So I purchased a 2015 M235i just a few weeks ago and on the way home from the dealer figured a dedicated winter set up would be needed. After searching market place in my area I found a guy selling a complete set of 06 7 series wheels 18x8 with snow tires for $125. The wheels looked great but the tire where 245/50R18. So I ordered a set of hankook winter tires in 225/40R18 from simplytire. The bad news started when the tire shop mounted the new tires and found 2 of the wheels where bent. Found a great moble wheel repair guy and got both damaged rims running true again for $85. Then the real problem showed up who ever installed the new tires on the car over torqued all the lug nuts, I got them all off but one the head stripped. So this was today's project drilling out the lug nut and mounting the wheels on the car. I am very happy with how everything turned out, all said and done i sold the snow tires that came on the wheels bring the total for the wheels down to $15 per wheel.
