BMW 660 19" Wheels

Original BMW wheels for the F20 F21 F22 F23 = stock compatibility without any modifications. Installed with PS4S.

I had on the past the OEM 18" wheels with PSS and the new 660 19" with the PS4S are more comforatable to everyday ride and also performs well, the PS4S have unquestionably progressed compared to PSS.

I was very surprised to feel how this new 19" wheels / tires are comfortable even on damaged roads ( compared to OEM settings ).

Here's a fairly aggressive setup.

Rims: OZ racing Leggera HLT
19" x 8" ET45. I thought they were ET35, they're actually ET45. I discovered this when I switched to winter tyres. The supplier was mistaken.)
19" x 9" ET40

Tyres: Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2
235/35R19
265/30R19

Stock springs and suspension.

The front is probably about as good as it can be as far as strut clearance goes.
You would not fit a 245/35 Cup 2 tyre up front with this offset/width (you'd need a 5mm spacer). Other tyres may be narrower, the stock (7.5" ET45) 225/40R18 Bridgestone Potenza S001 RFTs had >~5mm strut clearance, the PSC2s should in theory have had more clearance on an 8" ET35. They do not - it is more like 2mm, the Michelins are perhaps oversized.
Fender and wheel well clearance is excellent, at least 5-10mm at full lock.

The rear pokes. An ET45 or possibly even higher offset would arguably be better. There is room inside the wheel well but higher offsets were not available in 9".
I actually love the look, despite the practical considerations.
I went the 19" route in order to open the possibilities for using the PS4S (18" not available here) and when the time comes I may go 255/30. 255s would reduce the poke to flush, but PSC2s are not available in this size here.

No rubbing observed so far under fairly heavy loads. Will see how it goes on track in a few weeks.

Thank you! I'm running 255x35 on a 19"x10" with 45 offset. Was wanting to go for 275x35. Do you think its possible?

That would almost certainly not work.

You're already 16mm higher wheel radius than stock, going to 275/35 would be ambitious - +23mm or a 7.3% speedo error, probably illegal, and will likely rub on the fender.

I would consider /30 profile instead. That brings you back to +10mm or 3.2%.

If you went with 275/30R19 instead, according to http://www.rimsntires.com/specspro.jsp, you will poke the same as me, but the tyre will be 6mm closer to the suspension and inner wheel well.

I think 275/30 might work, but you will probably need to cut the fender liner a bit, there is a higher risk (+3mm) of fender rubbing, and you will poke.

Wow thanks fornthe analysis. Honestly idk what i was thinking running 35 sidewall. Next set i'm going to run 265/30 and go from there. Thank you!

Velos design werks

Front Tires: 235/35/19
Front Wheels: 19x8.5
Rear Tires: 265/30/19
Rear Wheels: 19x9.5

Was lowered on HR when purchased, but returned to stock height to save shock life. Photos are of stock spring setup. Everything fits and drives smooth.

The real lesson of this thread is that Estoril Blue really is the best color for the 2 series.

Considering a set of OEM 19's in the following sizes

Front rims are 8.5Jx19 offset is 33
Rear rims are 9Jx19 offset is 44

What would be required to run those on stock suspension and what size tires would you recommend?

Hi there, very nice wheels everyone! I also want to change mines on a m235i and this thread has helped me a lot.

I have been searching on the internet if the 788M fit on the m235i. So far, I think they don't because they are 9x19 on the front and 10x19 on the back, and the m235i seems to have fitment for 8.5x19 on the front and 9.5x19 on the back. Am I right?

Thanks in advance!
