MAX Tire Fitments - 265 (R) / 235 (F)

Okay guys, let's bring this topic back to life.
What's our maximum tire width setup without rub and on springs? No extreme camber mods.

Trying to take advantage of the annorexic hips on the m235i.

From research the below works, but for added security and flushness I'm leaning toward option 2:

1. Dinan BBS CI-R Specs
19x9 et48 with 265 tires
19x8 et45 with 235 tires (3mm spacer usually needed)

2. Better approach?
19x9.5 et50 with 265 tires (et52 maybe)
19x8.5 et40 with 235 tires (et38 maybe)

18"? Easier way out tho... thick tire is nice imo
8/9 might be better for the chubby tire look?

Anyone running 235 fronts and 265 rears?!

Mention your offsets, wheel & tire widths, profile, and suspension mods! What do you wish could've been revised better if you had another shot?

Pictures please

Post up!!!

I have 18x8 et 45 OZ Leggera HLTs with Michelin PS4 235/35 ready to install on my incoming M240i. My preference is for "square" set ups and have used that approach on my previous M235i and my 135i before that. Will report back once the OZs are installed, but others on this site are presently running similar square configurations. Have 5mm spacers and may use those all around or possibly just in front to keep the wheels from looking too inset. Will report back once I get these installed.

Personally, I am not a fan of 19" wheels on this particular vehicle. The 19s are also even more susceptible to damage. I like and have used BBS wheels more than any other manufacturer. I really like BBS FI-R, but sadly 19" is the smallest diameter they offer. The CI-R is nice too, but if you're doing 19" check out the FI-R:

Will do. My new 2020 M240i has been sitting at OxnardCA since mid April. Should have been at the dealer by now.

If you haven't seen this thread yet, it's worth a read. His wheels are 18x8 like mine but with a 43 offset instead of 45. Have identiacl tires installed on the OZs. I run these same Apex wheels shown in the thread in 17x7.5 with snow tires in the winter.

If you're not already doing so, make sure you stay on top of this. I had a car sit at the port for six weeks because the dealer wasn't paying attention, and I didn't know any better. Once the dealer got the message ("Where's my %^*@#& car!?!" lol), the car was released the next day.

Okay so this guy was able to get the following on dinan springs! Some hope!!

I notice it's more aggressive in the rear, while fronts look pretty good.

19x8.5 et42 (235/35 PS4S) including spacer
19x9.5 et45 (265/30 PS4S)

Custom set of et42 fronts and et48-52 rears still seems like the the optimal fitment. Wish we could see come close ups of this with higher profile tires.

You know, in the end it's a question of how thick your wallet is as far as what can be made to happen on a particular car. Mind you, I suggest this from years of what I think of as relevant experience.

That's the short version of :

1) Do what you're already doing (i.e., consult other owners who may have been down the same road, while collecting their setup information and any other relevant data, assuming it's on offer);

2) Talk it over carefully with shops and other professionals; and then,

3) Start buying single wheel & tire combinations - including spacers - to see how they fit.

I've been through this routine at least a dozen times on a half-dozen cars, and every time it's the information from / experience of professionals that has kept me from making choices that would not work. That's not to say that I didn't purchase combinations that wouldn't wouldn't work - I've done that, but dealing with professionals in the business has been the shortest way to success for me.

Here are the rims, running Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 245/40/17
Seems to be a great light and affordable setup. Will get a picture tomorrow.
So far feels great on the street, haven't done a track day yet. Only 100miles on them so far.

They look great yeah! So et40 up front on 8" width and 245/40/17 tires. Not bad! Would love to see a close up from the top and side of the front wheel!

Stock suspension I assume?

"This guy" did lots and lots of research. Read every damn page of of those long wheel threads. I PM'd every person I could find with a similar setup to see what they went through and if there were any issues.

My rears are probably more "pokey" than some would like, but not obnoxious. I'm very happy with it. Here's another shot.
