What's that junk in your trunk?
What do you drive around with behind the rear seats? nothing? toolkit? jumper cables? sleeping bag? Winter is coming, those who DD, do you drive with sand bags, etc? |

In the summer I have some towels for washing, some wheel cleaner in a pump up spray bottle, and the cables for my Liion booster pack (which itself is in the glove box). Might be a stray can of sunscreen or insect repellant, but those would be removed by winter.
In the winter the wheel cleaner which will freeze, gets removed, and some extra stuff gets added. Parka, boots and mitts, sturdy shovel, and some sand - in a plastic container not a bag - to be spread for added traction, not for weight. I don't venture far from the city in the winter so no need to get crazy with the survival stuff. |

Whoa, you guys are prepared!
My trunk is mostly filled with reusable shopping bags and the wool blanket I use to keep a pizza warm on the way home. It is clear that my life is more food-centric than car-centric, but I do love the ride! |

I usually carry a cargo net with work related stuff in it when I'm not transporting my bicycle. The bike fits great with the seats folded down, no need for a hitch or roof rack unless you want 2 bikes.
And a little bag with jumper cables, first aid kit and other odds and ends usually is tumbling around back there when the velcro gives way. |

Strapped down 18" spare wheel, hand crank jack, 17mm socket with breaker bar 3/4 inch drive socket and wheel block. Summer and winter set (depending on season). Never a fan of runflats, too harsh of a ride for my taste. Not much room back there but works for me.

Air compressor.
Tire pressure gauge. Couple reusable grocery bags (for that impromptu run to the grocery). My front license plate mounted on its bracket (been there since the day I picked up the car in 2017).

I am prepared for one thing in the summer. Golf. I litter all got a M235 vert because it's the only all wheel drive 6 cylinder turbo that fits 2 sets of clubs in the trunk with the top down lol. Priorities.

Mine is a mystery trunk. Could be all kinds of things in there from time to time, but only a few intentional items. Always have a small tool kit, a windbreaker (it's a convertible). And a can of fix-a-flat since there's no spare.

Other than the flat repair kit that came with the car, I have a set of jumper cables, my hard had and vest in the car year-round.
In the summer, my golf clubs and cart reside in the trunk most of the time. I don't keep anything in it in the winter; the skis don't fit unless half the rear seat is folded down.

Do you have to remove a tire from your bike in order to make it fit?

When my kid wanted his bike delivered to college I had to remove the front tire to fit it. Even then I had my wife help with the bike to make sure I didn't damage anything on the car!! |
