M2 and 2 Series

Is the M2 competition the same exterior shape and the 2 series and could you use parts of an M2 body kit on the 2 series?

Would they fit well or would the fit have to be altered?

The M2 is wider than the standard 2 series in the front fenders and rear quarters. You cannot fit M2 bumpers without modifying them as they take the extra track width into account.
