hey guys i have purchased a c.f. hood and new bumper off ali express. now the company i bought these products from also has the m2 fenders for my f23... his price shipped is excellent....... TOO excellent. so i asked him are they steel, or fiberglass, He said they are made of the same materials as the bumper, so plastic.. i asked him about the fit and he said its oem fitment.. now i know saturn used poly panels on there cars with no issues, but iam very very leary about buying plastic front quarter panels no matter what the price,, Can someone let me know if this is utter madness, buying plastic quarter panels, or makes no difference as long as the fit and finish is accuate

Can you post a link to the fender? I suppose my answer would be: depends on the quality of the plastic, surprisingly there are different types/ grade to it.

The quarter panel isn't an structural piece of the chassis. So it really depends on your feeling. I will say, I would never do it on my daily. Plastic will degrade faster than steel with wear and tear. So unless your ok with having it replaced now and then and having the piece repainted or wrapped... but on the bright side plastic doesnt rust LOL.

If the f23 is a weekend car then I guess go for it? Post pics of the car before and after the C.F parts btw. Those iv been eying on Ali express also haha

The E92 (3 series coupe) before this generation used plastic front fenders from factory...

It’s plastic from China….For cheap…. Probably is trash as with most stuff from Aliexpress/Alibaba/EBay parts
