Discoloured Bumper Vent Trim

Hi all, first post here.

I have 2014 228i that has some blue discolouration/fading of the lowermost vents/trim pieces on the front bumper. Is this a normal occurrence, should I try warrantying this?

Aren't you out of the warranty period? That's just from sunlight and road debris, perfectly normal.

You can either get them painted or replace them entirely. Some even use a polish called "Back to Black" so that's another option.

I've tried Back to Black and wasn't really satisfied with the results. Best bet is to replace.

I have had really good results with Forever Black. It is a dye, not goo that makes the trim shine for a week or two and then looks bad again. It requires some care to prep and stain but the results are truly remarkable for faded, chalky discolored trim.
