Touch-up paint front bumper?

Hi all.

I have a Alpine White M235i.

There are some rock chips on the front bumper.

I have never touched up a car before, so I was wondering if you guys have any tips and tricks/guides for touching up the bumpers on these vehicles?

I just bought the OEM Alpine White III paint.

Thanks.

To OP - Google "ammo nyc touch up paint" - he has videos & written instructions.

Does his logic apply to our plastic front bumpers?

Thanks.

The process is essentially the same. Basically, remove any loose paint, clean the chip, build up the color layer bit by bit, and leave room for the clear coat, polish to remove any excess. I've used Langka Blob Eliminator with factory touch-up paint & had good results.

I used this method yesterday and it came out fairly ok.

Any recommendation on a compound and polish?
I plan on hand polishing as I don’t how a orbit polisher.

Dr Color Chip is the way to go for next time, you can get ok results with OEM it's just harder.

That said bumper is more challenging that hood, plastic vs metal the paint doesn't adhere as well.
