If any F2X owners need help with halogen to LED conversion here you go
Just did a full LED swap on my '16 228ix.
here is what I used Low beams: $79.99 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 high beams/Daytime running lights $59.99 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 turn signals $11.59 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Parking Lights $15.00 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I also did a rear tail light conversion as well Brake lights RED $9.99 x2 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Reverse lights WHITE $15.99 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Also if you don't want your lights flickering every time you start your car I would consider coding it with these: OBD Port Bluetooth Dongle $59.95 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 You will also need BimmerCode, you can download it on the App Store on your phone connect to the dongle through bluetooth. You do have to pay for the license to use the app tho. It has preset LED Conversion options on there where you just tap on the icon and change to "LED". BimmerCode $30 TOTAL COST: $292.49 + TAX I hope this helps |

Hi all, I have a question.....what do you guys refer to as High Beam and Low beam lights? the headlights on my 235 has hi and lo beams integrated as one in the outer lights only whilst the inner lights don't even seem to have a bulb installed at all.

to my knowledge on the m235i's the inner headlight is only for show (i.e. daytime running lights with the angel eyes.) your lights size might either be a h7 or h15 size bulb. I would recommend taking the light out and look at the writing on it, it will tell you your bulb size.

The installation process for all the LED's is fairly the same. You twist the retaining plate off the bulb then you place that plate on the socket on your headlight and secure it with the little aluminum retaining clip and you push and twist the led onto the plate. boom your done. took me ages to do it the first time cause the instructions were shit but finally figured it out

With the from parking lights....the housing with the stock bulbs seems too small for the bulbs you have. Are you able to remove the housing or were you able to get them in with no additional changes?

Did you have to do anything special to get the high beams installed? I bought Boslla LED high beams but the fan on the back protruded too far to get them in. These look shorter but they’re still longer than a standard H15

So this is done for the read LEDs and front turn signals, just have to finish the coding. It looks like BimmerCode has an update and there is no longer an ability to turn off the warm/cold monitoring. Is that built into the LED conversion now or is it hiding in expert mode? Things are working in general. Have an issue with a bad LED on each side and have to deal with that. Typical. I ramped the output to 13.7 V without issue in expert mode. No codes thrown.
