yea I know, but until I learn to switch out myself (not a mechanic by any stretch) I need a hybrid...or the closest thing.

Hopefully at some point I'll learn and switch.

I did a soft track day for about an hour, horrible stock ones did ok until end of hour. As I progress need something better.

EBC Yellow are probably some of the best full-time street and part-time HPDE pads I've used, with almost o compromises. I recommend them, 100% is only doing 2-3 events/year. Add Motul RBF with some SS lines and you're good to go.

Most track only pads will be like a bus/train coming to a stop.

Have a look at Ferodo DS2500 that is mostly noise-free on the street.

I'm on my second set of Hawk Street/Race (which I think have been discontinued). As soon as this set is done, I'm getting a new set of rotors (Zimmermann) and PFC 08s. We'll see how those go.

My main complaint with the Hawks was that they didn't feel very linear, and were INSANELY noisy. I'm not talking "haha squeaky brakes" - I am very tolerant to car noise and I have a hard time using my car with the windows down, and I often panic because I think I'm suddenly out of pads and destroying everything and nope....50% left.

yes, I believe they are discontinued. I have the same experience overall.

Look forward to your thought on the PFC 08s.

I have about 50% left on the Hawks, and there’s less lapping this year than usual due to obvious reason, so it might take a little while...
