2015 M235i - baseline dyno

Hey all,

Purchased this car in Oct of 2019 with ~15k miles. Recently got bit by the mod bug and wanted to get a good frame of reference as to where I’m starting from before slapping things on.

Anywho, wanted to share the results of my stock baseline on a somewhat hot day (102 degrees!)

If that number beside wheel hp is actually what you got then your car's severely underperforming. Stock M235is put down 300 to 320 at the wheels.

The numbers you're quoting are for Dynojets. This is a different dyno this different readings/calculations.

Thats correct, this shop I went to uses a MAHA dyno. With the specified SAE correction it measured 287whp which seems to be inline with other ratings I’ve seen on this forum, albeit slightly lower than a typical dynojet.

Mine was 290 stock Dynojet...so guess under powered. 321 after catted DP. Mine says DynoJet and SAE in top corner...wth does that mean lol (to be fair, heard a few folks had low numbers at said shop, and for other reasons moved to BMW speed shop...have new later this summer)

Is 305 factory numbers ? Only thing I saw online.

That graph says that the air intake temp was 109F! That’s really hot, and would explain why this car is reading lower. First mods should be an intercooler and Chargepipe.

Yeah I thought 290ish was the widely accepted figure? Varying slightly based on dyno and that.
