I wanted to see if anyone knows what connected drive option let's you gps track your bmw and unlock and lock your vehicle via the connected drive app. On my 2015 328i I was able to gps track the vehicle via the app to see wherever it was in case someone else in the family was driving it. I was also able to lock and I lock the car as well. But I never had to pay for a subscription. I recently sold the 328i and purchased a 2016 M235i. I already provided BMW assist the registration and proof of insurance so that they see I own the vehicle now. I can now see my m235i on the connected drive app, but I cannot gps track the car or lock and unlock it. I was told by the bmw assist rep that you can track the car but only from half a mile away if I get the $50 option. On my 328i I could track it anywhere in my city. I would like to know which ConnectedDrive option to purchase to get the same features I had on the 328i to the M235i and if the $50 option will give me those features. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I purchased a used 2015, swapped over the info with BMW like you did. Mine seems to work to locate, fan, horn, etc. No subscription. I think they mentioned on the phone that I had service for 10 years on the vehicle, 2025.

Maybe it's not actual anymore, but there is no difference in the 'Remote Services' whether it is a part of Connected Package for $50 or of Connected Package Plus for $150.
