Angel Eye Aftermarket Color Change

Been attempting to retrofit a set of Xenon headlights to my halogen base model 228i, and I think I've got all the wiring worked out, however, I realized I do not have the LED diodes that light up the angel eyes.

That said, the LED diodes are nearly as expensive as the headlights themselves, so I was wondering if there was an aftermarket alternative that doesn't involve prying the clear cover off the housing to replace the actual lighted angel eye pieces (which has not worked out well in past vehicle experiments), and I found these, however, they do not appear to work with a 228i.

Anyone know of a kit like this that does work in our vehicles? Seems the 2 series got the short end of the stick when it comes to aftermarket options all around.

Check out Bavgruppe's website. They have some really nice retrofit kits and some interesting different styles of angel eyes that change colors. I bought a set of red/white rings myself. Haven't installed yet. Will lyk how it goes.
