I am not sure which is the tech package.
Carplay & Miracast requires 609. It must be HU_NBT2 with either ID5 or ID6.

Will this work when in motion? If not is there a way to code for this on ID5?

Only up to 63km/h; this is the limit for coding video/dvd in motion on ID5+. Some coders and vendors are able to bypass the coding limit though through some kind of script such as dvdinmotion.com

Do you have ID5 and were you able to get video in motion to work? I coded the following and couldn't get it to work:

3000 ? VIDEO_HANDBRAKE set to: nicht_aktiv
3000 ? VIDEO_FRONT_LOCKED set to: nicht_aktiv
3000 ? VIDEO_SPEEDLOCK_CONDITION set to: none=00

I wasn't able to add speedlock max / min as that wasn't an option in ID5.

3000 ? SPEEDLOCK_X_KMH_MAX werte = FF
3000 ? SPEEDLOCK_X_KMH_MIN werte = FF

Would love to know if someone got it working on ID5

I am the farthest from well versed in Apple products (ie do not use any), but I believe Vission Tech made some products.

Thanks, I am going to check into seeing if the app will work to mirror an iPhone to it. I need to re-code my car soon anyway so I'll work on it then!

Had my 240i coded - only issue with this is it is prompting me for a password for the BMW wifi hotspot to cast - anyone have any thoughts or a solution?

Don't connect to the WiFi network that it's outputting. Just press cast and if you have a Miracast enabled phone you'll see it show up in the cast screen. You do not need to be connected to any WiFi network like Chromecast.

Thank you - followed your suggestion and it worked. Now I just need to play with it and see the best ways to use it.

I coded all these parameters to be aktiv and now my iDrive menu is showinf the Screen Mirroring option.

But I cannot get the cellphone to connect and cast. I keep getting a timeout.

Tried two different cell phones and they both see the BMW Wifi but while connecting it just continues to load and never connects.

Any parameters missing to code? Any step I am missing when connecting?

I understand you do not connect directly to the cars WIFI rather you just do cast from the device to the car and it should work.

You coded these? Nothing else is needed to make it work.

Yes, found each and every one and was able to get iDrive to show me the option to do screen mirroring.

But it just times out every time I try to cast from the phones to the car.

Phones see the car, but they just loop on connecting and then time out.
