In my drives since the update the track info updates pretty consistently. There was one instance where it got stuck on the same song, but not even the time moved and switching from spotify to music didn't fix it. I ended up disabling/enabling bluetooth on my phone and then it started working correctly again.

My car was built in Oct and when I picked it up last week the dealer said they updated everything.
It says there are two updates, but also notes the update is for vehicles produced from July 2012 to Feb 2014. Confused. |

If you download the update to a USB, plug it in your car will tell you there are no compatable updates then I bet....you can't install one if it is not the newest

Same here. 3/2014 build so I used the first update download bin. Spotify over BT still does not change song/artist/artwork data after the first song played. I might try using the pre March bin update and see if that works. Did you ever have any luck in resolving this issue?

I've tried rolling back the OS and reinstalling without luck. Maybe it's the iOS version that is the difference. I'm running v7.1.2. Perhaps iOS v8.x is what the other member is running that is working.

My car is an August '14 build and this is what my iDrive is showing as the installed software version. If the above is the latest update would that mean that my 002-045 is outdated? You'd think that the higher number would be the latest, no? What am I missing? Cuz then you'd think that the latest update would put the "45" on the car.

My car is a 3/14 build and with the update it's also showing TH-002.039.062/MN-002.039.060. I do have the premium and tech packages so perhaps thats where these different 'build' versions come from.
If you read the PDF of the update it shows different versions of the update, one that fixes the bluetooth stream meta-data problem and one that doesn't which is the upgrade the new OS bin updates my car to. Makes no sense to me. See below. Software update (MN-2.255.60, TN-2.255.62) Contents ▷ Multimedia: remedies a problem where a superfluous note on app installation is dis‐ played. Remedies a problem where the old meta‐ data are displayed after changing the track. Resolves a problem where long tracks were not saved correctly. ▷ Telephone: improved stability during synchronisation of messages. Individual reminders can be closed. Thanks will do this tonight.
Edit: No joy. Will try reloading with the iPhone adapter removed to see if that was the issue. The download from BMW site indicates this is a good update and I had done the previous update back in May of 2014. Removing of Snap-In adapter didn't help. New software update will not load on 2/2014 build. Last edited by Delnari; 01-01-2015 at 02:52 PM.. |

Duh! I have done this earlier in the year, so I know how to update the iDrive. Heck, I successfully updated the NAV software and one of the first here to code their cars.
Appears my HU is too old for this update with a build date of 2/2014. Anyone with a build <= 2/2014 get a successful install. |
