I have been busy preparing for something else which happens this month. Which you could say is perhaps more of a priority especially when BMW are about to turn how people perceive electric mobility on its head.

So it means that the 2 series is not important as i3??!!! I'm sure that BMW will be making more money out of 2 series than "i" crap. It looks like 2 series will reborn real BMW again, for real BMW enthusiast. So many people are waiting for 2 series.

The 2er will redefine the compact segment for customers that favour precision in dynamics and a sportier edge , in other words a real enthusiast car.

I have seen the latest figures for pre-orders of the i3 and i8 globally so I can make that assumption. Perception is one of the goals of the BMWi cars , especially how people can perceive electric cars. BMWi has not been called a "Game-changer" just for a marketing slogan.

I will care more about electric cars when all the oil is gone.

Until then....

Anyone else prefer the 228i wheels (what looks to be sport pack) to the M235i wheels?

You can always take what a salesman says to the bank.

True, but considering i've done a fair amount of deals with, and am on first name terms with sales manager etc. They've no need to lie to me
Maybe it's something else and has dates mixed up, time will tell....

Hell I would take any nugget of info at this point--my SA is being pretty tight-lipped about anything specific to the car...not sure if that's lack of knowledge or because there's some evil master plan at work.

For example, we haven't seen the flood of spy pics with more colors and angles like you did with the 4er, even the i3...and that is just weird. I mean, they're supposed to be building the damn thing in less than a month. Where is all the final testing taking place? On some super-secret track? That doesn't make any sense to me...

Makes me wonder if the production schedule is going to get pushed back...

I am glad to know people like you like paying for that crap.

To me not paying for it is more than priceless!

I have a friend who works over at a Maserati dealership, and for whatever reason, he has access to the BMW order book, and he told me that there is a grey M235i locked in the system ready for production, with an expected delivery date of January 14. Apparently F33's have started production as well.

I have come to terms with the fact that I am going to have to extend my lease at least a month. Also: Does anyone else not like any of the rim choices they have seen on the various spy shot cars? It's actually bothering me quite a bit.
