I've wondered about doing the same thing. How much $$ was "well-spent" for the pair? Are the new visors identical except for the stickers? How long did it take to order them? Did you install them yourself? What's required to make the electrical swap? Thanks!

Electrical you just unplug the old one and plug the new one in. Cost I'm not sure for a coupe you'd have to check. It's a different part for my convertible, around $300.

Someone posted how to soak them in hydrofluoric acid or something to remove the sticker. apparently that sort of works, though it can wrinkle the material. the visors are irritating, for sure.

Alcohol I believe, but the finish you're left with under the sticker is slightly shinier than the rest of the visor.

Anything is better than warning label, just comes down to good enough vs flawless and how much you care about it to spend the $.

Weird. Mine def doesn't work when I lock via the door handle. Guess I'll go fiddle the delay.

Set delay to zero. Mirrors close when I lock with the fob and not when I lock by touching the top of the door handle (but the doors do lock, so it sees the touch).

Weird.

Be careful with no delay. On my wagon and sedan no delay = windows all crack maybe 1/2" after you lock car and walk away.

I troubleshooted w/ bimmercode they said be sure to leave delay at default.

Haven't seen the cracking thing. Delay was at 1.5sec before I tried 0s. I reckon it just doesn't work for some obscure reason. Pity, but definitely a first world problem.

HA. Found a distant past reference. Coded KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_PA to aktiv and now the handle touch also folds the mirror.

Car still starts

I think that's German for "Fold mirrors when locking with comfort access"

Glad you got it figured out. I haven't observed or heard of the window cracking issue with no delay. Maybe that depends on some other parameter?

This conversation should probably move to the coding forum before we get in trouble with you know who.

There is also one at Extreme Power House but I couldn't find any info/reviews on it.

I had the nets on my Z4 and found them useful for thin stuff. I could imagine getting them again.

Went all over town looking for a donut spare tire. You dont want to loose a runflat in the middle of Colombia.

Gave my wife the m240, which she coveted, and got a 2018 M2 with:

Black Sapphire w/ black leather interior

Executive Package
-Heated Steering Wheel
-Rear Park Distance Control
-Adaptive LED Headlights
-Automatic High Beams
-Active Driving Assistant
-Wireless Charging
-WiFi Hotspot
-Speed Limit Info
Moonroof
Double,clutch transmission

I crossed shop with an m3 CP and the 2 platform just won out. Interestingly, I felt that the acceleration response was more noticeable in the m240 than the M2, but steering is definitely better in the M2. Apologies, but my photography skills are less than optimal

"I'm not going to mod it til the warranty is up later this year" lasted about three weeks.

I installed an AFE dry flow drop in filter and Active-8 piggyback this past Sunday. I had the BMS intake, but didn't like how loud it was with various turbo related noises.

I'm really impressed with the A8 box. The gain feels like all of their claimed 54whp and yet, still is delivered as smoothly as stock. I missed extra push my A4 had vs the stock M235i and that is solved now. And, I only paid $275 for it from another member here.

VRSF charge pipe and 12mm spacers are going on this weekend.

After that, nothing else for a year. My 1995 S6 has plenty of needs to keep me busy until then.

Installed the complete BavSound speaker replacement including the Ghost V2 subs.

WOW what a difference.

Now I get in and its like "I feel so ALIVE!!!"

Going to give it a few weeks for full break in and then decide if I want to pony up $900 for the bimmertech amp.

Get the amp - I waited a year to do so and it was dumb. Trust me, get the amp. They usually have a coupon for $50 off too.

Yes, and there is something (not sure what) to make of you being parked in "Area 51"!

Yes, it was early morning at the office garage, so I was able to get one of the isolated spots with columns all around separating the next parking lot. Ding proof! You can't see it but the car to the left is a white Ferrari, don't remember the model.

Was this a DIY or done by a shop? Have been thinking about this for a while, but really am not DIY inclined.
