2018 2 series xi or i

Hi people.

I'm a long time site member.
Currently I'm on my 4th new BMW, lease, and it's over in September.
Current is 2016 340i Msport.

I had a 2009 135i that I really loved.
I've driven a number of current 2 series, 230i and M240i.
Both variants are quite nice.

For the config I want a 2019 230i Msport will be about $1200 more,
a 2019 M240i will be nearly $1600 more.
So, I'm considering ordering a 2018 if I can get an allocation very soon.
If not, I may consider existing lot cars.

Question on current invoice pricing.
It used to be that BMW invoice pricing can be approximated by subtracting about 7-8% from the full MSRP.
But that information is at least 3+ years old.
It seem that current invoice from MSRP be less that what it used to be.
Please tell me, if you know, what current invoice from MSRP is, in percent.

Thank you all in advance.

If I'm remembering correctly, it's 5% off base sticker and 8% off options, rounded to nearest $5. Destination is fixed. You can google "Edmunds TMV 230i build" and find a link to build and price any BMW and it will price out the options by invoice when you're done. Then you have to add MACO/advertising fee for US ordered cars.

With SOP for 2019 to begin in just two weeks time, I'd be surprised if you can still snag a 2018 model production slot...but good luck to you!

I contacted my dealer a few days before I posted the thread and neither the sales manager nor my sales guy responded.

I'm a 4 time returning customer and this has me ticked off.

No, I'm not expecting to get a slot this late in the model year, but there are, were, at least 2 230i Msports on their lot that I was interested in.

If I don't hear back from them by the end of this week I may just go with Audi this time around and wait for BMW and see what the next 3 series or 2 series will be like. Hopefully by then my dealer will get a clue too.

Just ordered a 2019 M240xi 5% off invoice. I love to haggle but I caved.
August delivery. Looking for suggestions for a donut spare.
