same thing in taiwan.. or any part of asia. Just double the USD amount. That's why when they come to USA, they think we're kings for driving anything above a M3.

Yes, I try not to think about car prices in Australia compared to the US, because it inevitably just makes me angry!
The prices now are actually relatively quite good historically speaking for Australia, as well. I got my m135i for just over $70k which came with most things I'd want (xenons, sat nav, hi-fi etc). 5 or 10 years ago only the BMWs that were $100k+ came standard with things like that.. I just remind myself of car prices in Singapore (where my wife grew up) and it makes me feel slightly better |

When I picked up my M235i on Sunday, there was a new M4 on floor next the sales guy's desk. Asking price dead on $200k. It had some options like ceramic brakes although didn't look too carefully as I was in shock.
Even if M235i is still over priced, I can't see how anyone can really justify paying more than double for a M4. It's good, but not that much better than M235i! I remember paying $130k for my e36 M3 in 1998, seems like good value these days for M3, but makes M235i seem cheap now that I think about it as it's a better car.

I ordered an M235i 2 days ago, with the comfort package, Harman Kardon stereo and DAB tuner
On road it cost me $88,888. I think I got a good price. Comments appreciated I also asked about a limited slip diff....errr they had to get back to me apparently no one has ever asked for one before, they got back to me with a $4700 price/ fitted but it cant be ordered, it has to be fitted after I take delivery. Other draw back is, its a 4 month wait for delivery for the car Last edited by webbit; 03-14-2015 at 02:22 AM.. |

LSD is a dealer fit option. You get to keep your original diff and therefore you can swap back and sell it separately when you sell the car.

As much as you might want the LSD to be an option from factory overall it's cheaper to get it done after delivery. You avoid paying extra LCT! Having 4k on top of your 89k price means a lot more $$$LCT
As for the price I paid 7k less with more options only 2 months ago
