WTB: 6MT M235i or 228i
I made the mistake of test driving cars for fun last weekend and decided I want an M235i now. After some research, I think I would be happy with a 228i M Sport/Track Pack if I can find one for the right price (or even find one at all), but they seem to go for as much as an M235i.
I'm looking for the following: Must haves - 6MT - M Sport Pack and Track Pack (if 228i) - No Oyster interior Nice to have - Estoril Blue or Mineral Gray Metallic - Terra interior with the fine-wood trim - LSD - No sunroof I'm located in South Louisiana which makes it even harder to find the car I want, but I will travel or consider shipment for the right car at the right price. I keep checking CarMax because it would be nice to get their warranty, but they don't seem to get many 6MT cars. |

Curiously, I found my 6MT, no sunroof car at Brian Harris BMW in Baton Rouge. It was a special order car where the buyer didn't take delivery. I bought an LSD right after I picked it up.

Wow that is lucky. I live near Baton Rouge, but looking to stay below $25k. They have a 325 at CarMax here and it was a blast to drive, but its auto. There's a guy on here selling one with manual and LSD but it's in Chicago. I'm considering maybe seeing if he'll ship, but I hate buying a car without driving it. And I don't want to go all that way either |

I have a 6MT M235i with 39,100 miles. It’s mineral gray metallic with the coral red interior. I purchased the car at 29,400 miles and have had no problems at all. The car is in pristine condition with no dings, dents, or scratches and has been garage kept and cared for, like most cars on a BMW forum would be. Nothing has been done to the car modification wise as of right now, and all maintenance is up to date. The car isn’t necessarily for sale, but at the right price just about anything can be. If you would like more information or some pictures, feel free to shoot me a text at 918-859-1295.
Additional info: Sorry, but forgot to mention the car has almost every option available. Heated seats and steering wheel, keyless access, technology package, etc. Only thing missing is the back up camera (which really should be standard on these cars). My previous car was a 428i with the camera so I thought this would be a bigger problem, but the car is small enough that it’s not necessary and the power and looks of the car more than made up for that Last edited by trojandoc; 05-20-2019 at 09:39 PM.. How negotiable on price are you? I'm also kinda leaning towards a BRZ now since they are so fun to drive and much cheaper to fix. |
