Tried to update but get "Update on USB device not suitable for this vehicle..." Car was recently worked on at DLR, was told software was updated so I not sure this message is related to that.

Model Year 2015 car here and I don't have an update available to me either. I have ConnectedDrive but I had Office (Enhanced Bluetooth) added via coding, might that have anything to do with it?

Looks good... but as I think I posted elsewhere my car recently came back from dealer for an idrive replacement and I recall its software starts with 003. putting it newer than any of these... oh well I'll try anyways. "fixed podcast" and "better audio quality" for iphones is what has me wanting this.
edit: indeed, my car reads 003.001.002.011.007 for bluetooth as an example... Can anybody "lend me" the last 7 digits of their car, say an m235 car that got produced after June 2015? I'm starting to suspect I need to start entering info such that it presents me sw updates for idrives newer than that date. One that has the upgraded audio.

For those of you wondering why your iDrive firmware is newer than the one BMW publicly offers, I'm guessing it has to do with the integration level of your car.
I recently asked my dealer to perform an integration level update and as a result went from NBT_B to NBT_K. This process also updated my iDrive firmware from MN-002.033.002 / TN-002.034.001 to MN-003.001.002 / TN-003.001.002. Folks that are at NBT_G or below (or something like that) can probably upgrade to these latest MN/TN-002 versions, while NBT_K folks should probably stick to MN/TN-003 as it appears to be newer. Before integration level update:   After integration level update:   Note how the NBT_K has the "Opt" options button to the right whereas older versions don't have this.

Mine says its updated. Had it at the dealer yesterday but for the replacement lamps, Don't know if they also did an software update ...

Got my car worked at the dealership 3 weeks ago and asked a firmware update to fix some ongoing BT issues.
As a result went from NBT_B to NBT_K. This process also updated my iDrive firmware from MN-002.033.002 / TN-002.034.001 to MN-003.001.002 / TN-003.001.002. The last update is therefore not compatible. |
