Dinan springs low on one side
Hey everyone. I have dinan springs and bumpstops for my rwd m240i. My passenger rear is noticeably lower than my driver rear. I've always noticed it. To the point where it's only rubbing my aggressive tire setup on one side. What can I do about this? The alignment is good. I can barely get a finger on one side but not the other. I found these 10mm coil spacers that Dinan used to provide but they told me they didn't have em anymore and were overall very unhelpful on the phone. I'd rather not go to back to stock rear springs if I don't have to. Thanks!

I remember somebody else having spring issues a while back, might want to look for that thread to see what they found. I seem to remember them saying they sent back several of them but I'm not sure if the issue was resolved.

I know you said they were not helpful over the phone, but I think you should open a warranty claim by email. The pictures you provided might make the matter easier to solve.

Well well well, welcome to the club!
I have been suffering this for 2+ years, with M Performance Springs and also Eibach springs on my M235i. I fitted a BMW spring shim (6mm - works out to be 10mm at wheel) on the drivers side (Passenger side for you) and that didn't solve the problem, rather raised the oppose side also! I also fitted a powerflex 11mm spring shim, but that didn't resolve either. More recently I disconnected the NSR antiroll bar droplink and guess what... the NSR dropped! So in a nut shell I believe this issue to be rear roll bar torsional preload. I will try fitting adjustable droplinks to see if it resolves the issue. For me apart from the asthetics, it affected the handling and shifted the roll centre away from the middle of the car at the rear. I haven't solved the issue yet, but think I might be almost there. I have a used set of Dinan springs waiting to be installed so I measured them out of curiosity and the rear springs are the same length as far as I can tell with a tape measure.
