B46 oil filter removal

Anyone have a suggestion for a good tool for removing and installing the B46 oil filter. My socket set gets the job done but it is a pain to work in the tight space. If BMW gave me a 1/2 inch more it would be easy.

I use a 3/8" ratchet with a swivel. You have to remove the plastic vertical panel to the right (when viewed from the front of the car).

I would like to find a video of the process on a 230i but have had no luck so far. My dealership is not bad for oil changes but they are so low on cars these days it is hard to get a loaner and my 230 is my DD.
