Minimum offset for 225/45/18?

Hey guys, just wanted a quick check to make sure these fit.
I did some prior research on this thread and found someone using the same tires with an ET42 offset. A reply claimed this was "even better" than ET45, so would that mean ET40 is guaranteed to fit?

Here are the details of what I want to put on my m235i.

Euro Design Tech Matte Black
18X8
5x120
et40
CB64.1

Also the bore is 64.1 does that mean I can not fit them on my car?

Bore has to be 72.56 (or larger with hubcentric rings).

5x120 with 64.1 bore would typically be a wheel to fit a Honda/Acura SUV.

I see, I can downsize but am limited by the size of the hole in the wheel itself.

Considering I got a correct bore size, what is the offset I would need for the fit?

For a 225/40-18 front tyre and stock camber, ET38 to 45 would be an appropriate offset range with a 18x8 wheel, with ET42 being close to optimum.

Great thanks so much, from my understanding if I am running a 225/45/18 it would not be different, as this only effects the height of the tire

EDIT: found your reply on this thread https://www.2addicts.com/forums/show....php?t=1475699 and will be using it as basis to run 225/45/18 on 18x8 ET45 rims. Thanks
