6MT shifter feels loose
Wondering if anyone also noticed this or maybe I'm just imagining it.
The car is almost at 10k miles, granted some minor wear and tear is expected. However, recently the 6mt shifter feels a bit loose and more sandboxy. There is just a bit more play in the shifter than I would like and remember from 2k miles ago. Not sure if its all in my head, given my paranoid nature, but I cant deny the feeling that its not the same. As I've said, some minor wear and tear is expected as it my only car and it does spend time in bumper to bumper traffic, it also spends time ripping through mountain twisties. Never dumped the clutch, never banged the gears, never keep or rest my hand on the shifter, etc. - in other words I don't do anything dumb in it - so not sure why all of a sudden there this sandbox feeling in the shifter. I will mention to the dealer as the first service is due in 1000 miles or so. Has anyone experienced this? Is there a simple adjustment that they can do without digging in too deep? Could be some kind of cable or a tension brace/wire, but I wouldn't know. Thank You, Roman |

Mine feels better at 80,000 miles and a change to RedLine fluid.
