End of the in line
Anyone got any other views? Is the 6 cylinder really going to be replaced by a 4 cylinder in the next gen m performance variants

Only FWD BMWs, (the next generation 1 series and 2 series gran coupe, along with the X2) will be getting BMW's "M-Performance" 4 cylinder turbo, as their FWD nature isn't designed for BMW's inline 6. The 2 series coupe and all other RWD based models continue to use the tried and true inline 6.
