Paint Protection (Clear bra) advice

I live in Stuttgart, Germany and I was thinking about getting some paint protection. There is a local shop that will do the front bumper, part of the hood and side mirrors for little over 1000 Euro. I think that is a bit pricey but the shop has a good reputation with Porsche and BMW. What are your thoughts and advice?

if you can do full hood is better so you don't see the seam.... not sure about the price cause don't now europe pricing... also it would be nice to know what kind of film, that affects the price too...

Xpel Ultimate is what I have...it's also self healing

It's 3M film. 1000 Euro is about $1130 USD. Thank you for the advice on the hood.

I know what the conversion rate is.... i just don't know if the price for that market is cheap or expensive...

As comparison, I paid about $1400 USD for Full front, including front fenders, hood and bumper + rear bumper and door edges...

3M used to be the best back in the day , but nowadays there are cheaper and better options. Also finish and color depth is not as good either as it's a quite thick film

I am in the same predicament... Just got a new 2015 Red M235i and want to clear bra it... Thinking of doing full bumper/hood/side skirts. Expensive though!!

I had SunTek PPF C (self Healing) installed on the entire front grill including lower black pieces in grill, rockers, mirrors, front lights and rear bumper done for $900. Full hood to come for $200 more.

Best thing I did to protect the car !

I pulled the trigger and got the paint protection done last weekend. It came out to 1295 Euro for the whole hood, fenders and front fascia. It was pricey but everything is pricey in Germany.

Hi--do you mind sharing the name of the shop where you got the work done in Stuttgart? Thanks much.

I have bad experience with 3M paint protection, the local deal install twice times, it is not full-type design, it won't cover all the paint surface, different with xpel. with two months, a lot of bubbles, uneven surface, black side, followed by a raised edge into the gravel. I had to go back to the agents, pruning, can protect the area after getting smaller.

price for full coverage in the front is anywhere from $1200-2000 USD depending on where you live (big market vs small market).

I'm getting mine done soon; I baby my car and it's still getting chipped up because the paint is so thin.

Paint sealant on Suntek PPF

Hi,

I have Suntek PPF on my 2 series, I was thinking on applying a semi permanent paint sealant (the ones that lasts around 6 months). Will this remove the self healing quality of Suntek?

Thank you
