rear speaker install question

Hey all,
I had the connector break when swapping the rear speaker..

I can test the oem and replacement speaker for polarity (did the battery test) but not sure how to confirm which is + and which is minus coming from factory wiring..as Ive read its occasionally reversed in the back as far as color code goes..

any suggestions?

If the opposite side is still intact, you can see which one is positive and negative. It'll be reverse on the side with the broken connector.

yeah, I thought that would hold true..however, I saw another thread that basically said the wiring was inconsistent with the rear speaker passenger side polarity..

I ran an audio test and I "think" it sounds right...would love something more definitive though.
