I would give the rs3's a slight advantage over the NT05 for colder weather traction and cost |

I'm about to order some light custom wheels so that I can get more rubber contact and less unsprung weight.
How much clearance is between the stock 7.5x18 et45 wheel and the front strut? I'm hoping for a setup like this: Front: 8.5x19 et44, 235/35 MPSS tires, that makes 11.7mm closer on strut side and 13.7mm more poke than stock on the fender side. http://www.willtheyfit.com/index.php...culate#content Or et43 in the front would give 10.7mm closer to the front strut and an additional 14.7mm poke towards the front fender. I was trying to keep the poke down to a minimum. http://www.willtheyfit.com/index.php...culate#content Rear: 9x19 et53, 265/30 MPSS tires, that makes 13.7mm closer on the strut side and 11.7mm more poke than stock on the fender side. http://www.willtheyfit.com/index.php...culate#content If this looks OK, what will happen if I install the M3 LCA? Will that give it less strut and wheel well clearance? The wheels are expensive, I don't want to screw it up. Last edited by AlpsRider; 05-20-2016 at 04:45 PM.. |

My math is saying your wheel will be 12mm closer to the strut, while the tire will be 4mm closer. While the tire will be ~6mm further out towards the fender and the wheel 14mm closer to fender. I think with a very small spacer you would be just fine. But I am no expert! go measure for yourself and be sure |

I was scared a bit first but then I took the wheels of and the struts were intact. I also have about 3mm clearance with the kosei 17-8 et42 with 245s all around |

Are you sure that wasn't feedback for the RE71R? I run RE11's and with them being really popular with the Nissan Z community (used to own a Z) I can say the wear is totally normal for the category, and wet performance is good.
