Update
Okay, definitely had some sort of leak. After adjusting the cone the whistle-like sound is gone. There's a big difference between comfort and sport mode. Comfort is probably 50%-75% louder than stock. Sport is as stated before at more than twice as loud as stock. I love it.

One week update:
Still loving the intake. The sound is so much fun. Now I focus on smoother shifting. Before I could feel the difference when I executed a nice and smooth shift. Now I can hear it too. It just adds a bit more fun to owning a manual car. I also ride with the windows open all of the time including on the highway. You can get sound out of the intake even in 6th gear. It's fun to bounce the sound off of concrete highway dividers and other cars. Especially with the intake being on the same side as I am. At least it is in my LHD vehicle.

The bad? The only downside that I've noticed is that the car really does not want to lug anymore. There are turns that I used to be able to heel-toe into 3rd and even at low RPM's in third the car would use its torque to push through it. That's no longer the case. One could argue that I was doing it wrong and frankly just being lazy. I developed the habit during the break-in period as a means to keep the RPM's down though. Simple solution: try sucking less lol.

Conclusion. Get an intake.

PS: No, I don't notice any difference in power.

I'm in the same boat. Had mine for a month now and am loving it. It just highlights how quiet the exhaust is for me haha. Something I will need to upgrade in the near future. You can really hear the intake sucking in air as soon as you roll on the throttle. I haven't noticed any performance gain either but the sound is worth they money!!

Here is a review by Mike (not me, a customer)

Got this Injen Short Ram Air in anodized black and wasn't disappointed. Packaging was very good and came with all components and instructions needed. Only issue I had was that one of the bolts that secures the ram tube to the metal enclosure is hard to reach and required me to disconnect the upper radiator hose to get enough hand clearance to get a ratchet on it to secure it in place. Other than that the install took only about 30 minutes. The sound of this pipe is amazing and definitely is audible even when inside the car with windows up. If you prefer engine noise to a minimum then don't get this product and stick with the OEM airbox.
