2 Series driver crashes into Norwalk building, rushed to hospital

I live in the area. There's a huge dip at the end of this offramp where the freeway actually ends. Guy must've hit the dip and caught some major air, completely clearing the entire intersection and going over the wall at the other end of 3-way intersection.

Surprisingly, another article I read says he walked away with only minor injuries.

You will notice after reading enough of these that drunk drivers usually survive crashes (surprisingly with little injury) that kill other drivers.

A very sad irony.

Good catch! This is NOT an M4, and NOT an M2. Look at the door cards, the pull handle is too high for an M4. The rear bumper lacks the M2's tall side vents/reflectors. The interior door pull is silver, not CF like in the M2.

This is an M235i or M240i.

The transfer of energy in the M5 hitting a pole is more severe than the 2 series that collided with a hollow wall, which absorbed some of the inertia and stopped the vehicle.

Both vehicles have 5/5 star US frontal crash safety rating.

Nothing to add here but I must say it is reassuring to see that the driver was not badly harmed. Cars can be replaced...people, not so much...
