Maintenance on leased 230 have to be done at stealership?
Hey guys I know this may seem like a stupid question but when I leased the car now about 9k mi’s ago. They guy trying to sell me the maintenance and wheel pkg did state that it had to be done at a BMW dealership??? I still opted to not to take the pkgs as it was like an additional $40+ a month. Of course I didn’t believe him. Just doing my due diligence and curious if anyone else has ever come across this. Thanks

New car maintenance plan should cover everything u need for the lease.
If you decided to go elsewhere for tires or maybe an additional oil change that’s permissible but keep receipts. |

During the course of your lease you should only need fluid and filters. Get it done at the dealership. The potential headache is not worth the tiny amount of money you will save.

Required maintenance is FREE on new BMWs for 3 years - there is no cost associated with this maintenance, and yes, it has to be done at the dealership. They offered you an EXTENDED maintenance program to continue the FREE maintenance beyond 3 years, which would be useless since you probably have a 3-year lease.

Wheel and tire package work has to be done at dealership. Some folks with larger diameter wheels really like this. It has saved me a ton in new tires and wheel repair over the last 4 years. One more year to go!
If you are leasing for three years, it may not pay, since these packages are, or at least were, for five years or 50K miles. Regular maintenance is FREE, unless they get you for alignment and other goodies that they are always trying to shove down customers' throats. |

Your dealership must really suck...mine never tries to sell me anything I don't need. Too bad all dealerships aren't as customer-focused.
