Look for me in my White with red leather version traveling to/from Burlington / Lexington / North Andover each day. In the warmer months you'll see a bike rack on top and perhaps even one of our tandem bikes up there.
I'll keep an eye out Jeaux! Sounds like we might frequent the same stretches of 3/93/495. Welcome, and enjoy the car. I have a friend with a 2011 GTI; he loves it, but got a kick out of my car!

If you hear two quick beeps, it might be me!

Any of you guys have the adaptive suspension option on your 235/240? What do you think?

Looking to get into one as I can't quite afford the M2C yet.

Thanks!
Matthew

The Adaptive M Suspension was standard equipment on my 2017 M240. I believe it still is, and I also believe it was standard on the M235. There's defiantly a noticeable difference between Comfort and Sport. Comfort is fine for normal driving, but there's defiantly some body roll that is minimized in Sport. However, sport definitely lets you feel every little bump in the road.

Supposedly there's a difference between Sport and Sport+, but I'm not good enough to notice.

It came standard on my 2019. Sport settings I like very much. A firm ride (People used to riding in Toyotas might call it "very firm") with well controlled body roll. Comfort mode is good for taking the edge off roads in poor condition but a bit too underdamped for my tastes. I stay in the firm mode most the time.

I just moved to Boston this last May and my 2016 M235i is the only one I've seen in the city actually. I am sure they're around but I hardly see any 2 series here.

Pre-COVID, I would see 3-4 per week driving into the city on 93. We're around, but maybe not on the road as much as we used to be? Personally, it's only been the past two weeks that I've been back into my office more than once a week. Prior to that, I think I'd been in 4-5 times in the past year.

Definitely. Pre-covid I was putting 20k miles per year on my car. Now that I've been remote its under 4k.

+1 to what was said above. Though I do believe the M235 only had OPTIONAL electronic dampers. Maybe I'm wrong. But in comfort mode, I'd say the car is more comfortable than my 2014 base model ford fusion was. In sport+ the car is definitely firmer, a little bouncy on rough roads, but definitely not uncomfortable. I still stay away from sport+ on really bad roads, I stay in traction mode for those (exhaust still in loud mode, but everything else is comfort).
