Plus the roads here suck with construction lane markings. They never get rid of the temporary markings so the car gets confused. My new lane departure automatically jerks you back into your lane. I was going around someone that was making a left in front of me and the damn car was pulling me back towards said car. So now my lane departure is off because there is no way to have it on with the automatic correction disabled. The vibration alone was sufficient. Get off my lawn!
You should use turn indicators.

I do, all the time even in parking lots. This was a two lane street (one in each direction) in a commercial area with very wide lanes and shoulders. I wasn't changing lanes, I was driving around someone making a left.

There would be a serious coolness factor if you did. But the reality of driving that every day might not be so cool.

Smart ass....

It's the actual car my father learned to drive. 1938 Ford Flat Head V8. Probably belongs in the cool pic thread but I won't open that thread at work.

Haha! That's pretty cool that your dad did though.
If you post it on the cool pic thread right this moment, you'll be safe because there are no T&A pics YET on the new page. Hurry!

EDIT: I thought it was a new page but almost all of the past posts were cars or places believe it or not, haha.

I might be wrong on the year, 1936?

Turn indicators must disengage the "lane departure" feature. It's not about lane designation (although that's how it used to work) but rather about safety, perhaps. When you change your course "considerably" it might be worth it indicating, even in double (bed/)lane.

You should know there should (reportedly, they changed the turn stalk "logic" recently) be an "easy" indicating feature for the purpose: you just touch the stalk once and the car indicates a pre-set number of times (I use 3).

Your car should have "seen" the obstacle in front and had it's "opinion" different from yours, apparently. This should be when you have to make it clear who's the master (overcoming whatever resistance).

One of my dad's flying buddies owned a truck almost exactly like this one. I recall one day when dad put me in the truck bed when he and his friend went into town from the airport to buy something. During the trip down the country 2-lane road, I was busy dropping oranges through a hole in the wooden truck bed and then watching them spin merrily on the pavement, spitting juice in the air. I was 7 or 8 years old. What fun!

First off, congratulations!

Funny thing is, I've done some thinking along that line. For instance, I recall when I turned 44 and suddenly realized that if I had been magically turned into a newborn the day I got out of the Army, I could do the whole deal again - birth to school to separation from the Army. Now that I'm almost 75, I could've done the whole deal 3.4 times!

Kind of scary.

Not really a good day but good month for me.

I sold 24.5 cars this month. I was 1.5 car away from beating the stores record for most cars sold in a month (since our current GMs been here).

Only been in the business for 11 months. Average about 16 cars a month.

Salesmen of the month 3 times 💪🏾😁

Good job.
I sold 2 new cars. Majority of the cars I sold were used. A lot of transit cargo vans. Those are like gold right now.

We have about 15~ new cars including the 3 in the showroom and roughly 50-60 used cars.

Ford just sent an email out saying no one can order new transit connects (small cargo van), F-250s, Mach-E, Broncos or Transit 250s. So, I guess all we can sell is used cars
