Buying used Modified N55 (2016 m235i) Advice

Hey all -

I've been really looking into getting into a 6mt 235i for a while now and I found one that looks really well maintained. Its loaded will all the performance upgrades and a good maintenance history. My only worry is that it has a couple modifications, and I know next to nothing about that.

For reference its a 2016 6mt (60k miles) for ~$24k USD with an upgraded intercooler, air intake, charge pipe, downpipe and BootMod3 91 octane tune. Receipts for maintenance and tuning from reputable bmw shop.

I'm planning on using it as a daily driver and wondering how you think this may affect day to day reliability. As far as from what I've read the charge pipe should be replaced anyway with a metal alternative so I thought that may be a plus? Thanks a lot for your help!

Have you driven it yet? Is the car clean - what are the name brand on the parts? Any weird noises?

These cars are actually pretty reliable - if it was well kept and has a good maintenance history + high quality parts, why not?

That's all pretty standard stuff, I think the reliability is probably higher now than it was from bmw.

Did you end up getting the car? I found a 2016 m235i @40k miles from a dealer. I had to buy and install all mods myself not too bad around $1200. Been 3 month still didn’t tune because I drive a work truck Mon-Saturday last time I filled up on gas was when I got the car… shameful really all that work and I can’t really enjoy it
