Nice! thats my fear all the time, I literally park so far away that it would be crazy if someone parked by me, and if there isnt a far spot in the lot. I park in another lot or leave lol

Unfortunately the rednecks around here will go out of their way to park their giant trucks half an inch from you if you park out in the middle of nowhere. I usually end up parking somewhere in the middle, hopefully next to employees that won't be leaving for a while.

Pretty sure I picked this ding up in the visitor parking at Cisco campus in RTP yesterday.

Garaged her after taking delivery just as the snow started falling. Unfortunately I'm stuck staring at the car in the garage for the next few days because of this. It's the first BMW I've owned, coming from a Mercedes, and I've already fallen hard for the Estoril Blue Metallic color.

Just have to take her to the detailer this week when the weather clears up for paint correction, then right to the clear bra installer. Also, my order of AMMO Reflex and AMMO paint regimen arrived on the same day so I'll be doing a Reflex coat soon followed by Skin.

Installed about 15 sq ft of Dynamat Extreme under the trunk linings. Also installed the Technic Active Sound defeat harness. Can't tell which made the difference but I like it this way.

Ugh

Yesterday, I gave her a good wash and changed back to the PSS tires. Then I went for a drive and remembered how great the PSS tires really are. Finally, I stopped for gas and proceeded to curb my right rear wheel leaving the gas station. Ugh!!!

Installed the M Performance Exhaust today! I had a bear of a time cutting the exhaust pipe, even with a tail pipe cutter and WD40. I think I'll just have a shop do it next time.

The lightweight front splitter arrives tomorrow, and that should hopefully be a simple install. I'm done with mods for a while after that!

Was getting my curbed wheel refinished when the wheel guy ran into some issues, so I got this little darling killer tonight as a loaner. My M235 is fun in a completely different way, and I've driven a LOT of cars but I dont think I've ever had this much fun in a car.

What did I do to my 2-series today? I didn't order one!

I have a 2013 128, 6MT, M-Sport, 30K miles, well-cared for, not driven winters.

While at the dealer recently for service, I was given a sales pitch, and drove an M235 and a 228.

The 228 would definitely work out for the simple "fun driving" I like to do. I did send them a "build" list, with M-sport and Track Handling Package, few other options.

The offer was $16K for my 128 (it's paid for), and $2K off the sticker of the 228.

I felt that the offer on my 128 was low, by $1,500 or more.

I'm going to drive my 128 this summer, have fun with it, take care of it, and re-visit this in a year, with another dealer or two in the mix.

Oh, the 235 was appealing. The 228 would work well for me, though. We will see how I feel in a year.

Finally installed the Autoplus rear diffuser/AW painted rear reflectors. Honestly, I'm not sure about those painted reflectors. I think I'll put back the stock ones and tint them slightly as well as my tail lights.

Just my personal opinion, I would keep the back end the way it is, maybe minus the painted reflectors. With the black badges and rear diffuser alone it looks really good, definitely the right level of aggressive. I think tinted tail lights (I know you're just thinking of a slight smoke) looks... I guess it just makes it look like a high schooler owns the car. That's my .02, it's a beautiful car especially in Alpine white, so do what makes you happy.

Word. I ended up buying mine at BMW of Idaho Falls.

So today I plasti-dipped my side mirror covers. Looks good from a distance, but up close the matte plasti-dip doesn't jive with the glossy surroundings.

(apparently my phone's camera was in square mode or something and I only realize this now)

I'm a little concerned with the driver's side cover, it slipped on really easy without any of the snaps and clicks of the passenger's side but it's flush and seems to be in there solid. As long as it doesn't fly off on the freeway I'll be happy.

^I thought about plastidipping the mirrors but then I realized i'm driving a $50K car and would rather spend $125 for IND painted covers.

I really just wanted to see how it looked before I spent money. Maybe when these start peeling I'll look into a more permanent solution.

Lol, there's nothing wrong with plastidip dude. It'll give you an idea if you actually want the different color mirrors and it's a fun project. Too bad my emblems didn't take too well to the dip. However, dipping my emblems allowed me to realize that I do want the painted emblems from IND some day. It also helped me realize that I can wait on the emblems as the change is super subtle lol.

I may be in the minority, but I personally like the rear reflectors. They break up the backend a bit and I like the overall shape of them. That diffuser looks sick though dude. I've been happy with the stock diffuser, but seeing yours has me thinking otherwise.....

Thought about it. Maybe next weekend! I can't justify $125 for painted mirror caps, regardless of the car's price.
