Wow...

As I stated before, I will update all once the install is complete, whether or not it works out. I'm really hoping it does as LSD + slightly shorter gears will be awesome and shouldn't be a problem since my car is 6MT. If not I'll just sell it as I've have already gotten offers for it. Either way it's a win for the community.

>>>btw the car has not been running for 6 months. I moved hundreds of miles away and it's sitting at the shop awaiting major repairs. Fortunately I haven't really needed it. The LSD will be installed when everything else is fixed, hopefully Dec 19 or Jan 20.<<<

Here are some pictures of the pumpkin.

Also did a quick google search for the part number and found it on sale for $493 here: https://www.discountpartsmonster.com...RoCbVAQAvD_BwE

It's sold out everywhere else but might be worth giving these guys a call for anyone whose interested.

Finally having the LSD installed and so far it's a no-go. At least for now. The pumpkin seems to fit no problem, but the M235i axles are apparently thicker than the F30/32 axles so they will not slip in. This seems odd as the part number on realoem is the same for F2X/F3X (33207597685).

Does anyone have thoughts about this?

Damn, so the splined end are actually bigger from 335 to m235? Interesting, I wouldn't think they'd change between the shared parts bin chassis, but suppose it's possible the performance division questioned the nature of these cars use, and opted for a stronger/larger shaft?

So only option would be to get F30 axles, or sell?

Yeah, that doesn't make any sense. Assuming they're using a new circlip, are they pushing hard enough The LSD part numbers are different between the F2X and F3X due to differences in final drive, but that shouldn't impact anything spline wise.

It's just weird and doesn't make sense. I did get pictures of the oem and LSD pumpkins side by side and mine is significantly larger than the LSD. I thought this might be because the LSD is made for ZF8 and my car is 6MT similar to the E8x/E9x. BMW Parts Hub confirmed it will not fit, and was generous enough to comp me for return shipping and refund the original purchase price.

I ordered the correct LSD from them for ~$2350 shipped to Utah incl. $125 shipping and some tax. Seems like one of the best prices around. They still have a few left for anyone interested.

Should have this squared away by EOM.🤞🏽

Pics attached/below for comparison.
