This is usually fuel quality related. Bad gas, too low octane for your tune. What tune?

Drive easily, no full throttle until put in better gas.

Get the highest octane gas from another gas station, preferably top tier -Costco, Shell, BP, Chevron, etc

Can also try a few gallons of E85 fuel mixed with your premium fuel to stop detonation/knocking.

Do you have any logs?

Im on the stage 2 bm3 tune. I usually use costco gas but lately that seems to be causing me a lot of problems. I got in contact with ptf and they had me flash back to stock and do some logs. I put shell gas and went on to do a few runs on the stock map. here are the logs.

I looked briefly at the first log and it looks pretty OK. The only thing that caught my eye was a 10F IAT rise during the pull. What IC are you running?

I never had good luck with Costco gas. I'd try some Shell 93 and log the Stage 1 map. If no issues, ease into and log the Stg 2 map. Could be as simple as bad gas.

These are on shell since I've been having issues with Costco gas. Wasn't cheap but seems to be doing the trick. It's a dinan ic but my intake is basically a hot air intake right now. Working on getting it fixed. The intake tube is basically sitting on a coolant hose so it rises very rapidly

Sorry, missed your original comment about the gas. Hopefully that's your issue.

Try some logs after you fix your intake. On pump 93 the car will start pulling timing & power with IATs >105F and the Stg 2 map will generate a good bit more heat than the stock map.

So they said the logs I had looked ok. What is the likelihood that I have bad injectors?

I'm not convinced you have bad hardware. I think you may have had bad gas.

But, you should drive a bit on Stage 1 with Shell 93 to see if it feels OK. If so, try some logs for review.

If that checks out, then move back up to Stage 2.

Yeah, shouldn't be starting rough.

I'm not the best guy to help troubleshoot that. I would post up in the 3-series N55 forum to get more feedback if you don't get other feedback here soon.

ok so yesterday i pulled the map and maf sensors and cleaned them. car started up perfect today and has been running phenomonal the past 24ish hours. The map sensor was pretty dirty which leads me to believe that was the reason for all of these issues. Im gonna run it on the stock tune for another day or so and see if any issues pop up. if not then i will bump up the tune and go from there

Great.

Are you running an oiled filter in your intake? Those can foul up the MAP sensor.
