Ok so Service Manager at my local dealer just emailed me and told me to monitor the oil consumption for now. According to him 1quart of oil every 4-5K miles shouldn't be a concern as it is deemed normal.He did advise that I monitor oil levels on regular and that if it is beyond the norm then I should bring the car in again. Also offered that I can always bring my car in for a top up if I'm ever low again.

Aka they are trying to get you past warranty before the car starts burning a shit ton of oil. If you work your engine hard it will burn some oil but if it goes through a qt every 4-5k it's not good. If they are not going to fix the piston rings before your warranty is up I would trade it in and get rid of the car.
