Great results! That e36M3 is indeed amazing. In stock form, it is a little heavier than the 228i and puts less power to the wheels. Modified, the 228i put significantly more power to the wheels, but yet the e36M3 was still faster at the track. They must have done some great work on it (significant weight removal, aero, etc?). Do you know what was done to it? The 228i already did great for what it is compared to the rest of the pack, so yes, this e36 was unbelievable.

Yes, Amir has been running that car in time attack street class for awhile now so it is very well sorted out to run on lower grip tires and has a good aero package. I know he's taken a good chunk of weight out but I'm not sure how much.

Quick question, what's the difference between the "2-way" suspension and the "3-way"? Are there advantages/disadvantages?

With those sustained 1.5 G loads do you feel there is any chance of losing oil pressure in the engine?

Yes, it is an issue - mostly under heavy braking and right lateral load. lateral loads under acceleration or static speed don't seem to be an issue. See attached graph. One of our development partners is testing an Accusump setup to see if that is enough additional volume to address the issue. We are also working on a baffled pan but so far manufacturing costs are very high for that solution.

I was researching the Accusump products...unfortunately not educated enough on the subject to make a decision. I'll be looking forward to your test results. Too bad these aren't dry sumped engines. Then again car would cost a lot more if it were.

Hey there GSR, love what you are doing with the 228i. I was wondering how much it cost you to do the vinyl wrap and who did it for you? I am interested in doing a full wrap myself.

Thanks for the information in advance .

Wow, oil pressure is dangerously low in the graph under those conditions!

We did it in-house and have a sponsorship from 3M so they just sent us the material. We outsource most of our vinyl work to G1 Design (www.g1des.com) in Anaheim. Eric is the owner, tell him Nick sent you.

No. What made you think that?

@GSR Autosport how is the engine rebuild going?

Would be awesome if you would post a thread on the rebuild, as well as what parts you are going to upgrade.

GSR, I have a few questions about the steering.

1. How's the feedback on the track?
2. When you added stiffer springs with the KW dampers, does that improve the feel?
3. Is it affecting your ability to drive the car at the limits?

I'm guessing you would just get used to it after a while, but the last F30 328i I drove had some lame steering, light and numb

The key question for me with all these new EPS systems is front contact patch feel approaching/at/over the limits of adhesion. Picture over-cooking a corner entry just a bit too much that you realize during your turn-in phase and now have to handle. You need to open up wheel lock to regain grip up front, dial back in a tad, dial out some, manage it right on the limits as you use up real estate trying to stay on track. How is the steering "feel" (i.e. direct feedback of what the deal is at the contact patch) during this situation? Is it intuitive, natural, direct communication that allows you to easily manage the tires?
