winter tire advice
I have a set of winter wheels/tires that used to be on my 2013 328i xdrive
they are Rial Salerno wheels 18x8 30mm offset, tires are 225/45/18 all around. will these wheels/tires fit on my m240i xdrive? if i take the winter tires off the 328 wheels and mount them on the stock 240 wheels would that be a better option? thanks |

The tyres should work on the stock wheels, but the Rial wheels with 30mm offset (45mm would be closer to optimum for the 2-series with 18x8 wheels and 225/45-18 tyres) will likely rub on the front wheel well liner when close to full lock and possibly on the outer edge of the wheels wells.

That might be a little aggressive in the front. You would be much better offer with either a higher offset, or a 225/40/18 tire on the existing wheel.

bringing this back to the top. i'm looking at a used set of 18x7 rial salernos (ET29) with Michelin X-ICE 225/50R17 mounted.
are these likely to rub with the wider aspect ratio? would 10mm spacers help or is that just another headache to deal with?
